DUBAI- November 11, 2015: All preparations are in place for the world’s first ever 24-Hour Tennis Marathon, which is scheduled to be held at the Tennis Courts of Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai on November 13 and 14, 2015. Sherriff International Sports Management (SISM) and Veracity World, the organizers of the ADIB 24-Hour Tennis Marathon, confirmed that they have completed all preparations to host the event. At least 76 players of different playing levels will compete against each other in this day-night-day event. All the 6 Teams are now finalized and their names are as follows: Team ADIB, Team Huawei, Team Pepsi, Team Grand Hyatt, Team Channel 4 and Team DTA. The participants are currently undergoing their training sessions to be fit to play the 24-hour long Marathon. All participants can get a chance to play with or against the 2013 Wimbledon Champion Ms. Marion Bartoli, and visitors to the event will have a chance to watch Ms. Bartoli play and interact with her. The ADIB 24-Hour Tennis Marathon also offers the participants a chance to win an all paid trip to London and watch the action at 2016 Wimbledon Championships, which will take place from June 27 to July 10, 2016. The ADIB 24-Hour Tennis Marathon, supported by Dubai Sports Council and presented by Huawei, is a world record attempt with six teams playing for 24 hours, non-stop. All players participating in the 24-Hour Tennis Marathon, individuals and corporate houses that are booking tables at the Opening Ceremony, Dinner, Family Breakfast & Award Ceremony events will bag a chance of winning the all paid trip to watch the Wimbledon Championships, courtesy of Qantas airline. The marathon will begin at 1 pm on November 13 and conclude at 1pm on November 14. The players will play through the night and it will be a real test of endurance to complete the 24 hour marathon. The final day of the event will feature a family breakfast as well as free tennis clinics and interactive games for adults and children.
