Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 27, 2015: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is seeking suggestions from the public in order to draft a patient-centric Dubai Health Strategy. This is the third phase of the stakeholder engagement initiative and the DHA is requesting the public to write to the Authority through its Twitter page (DHA_Dubai) and to use the hashtag #DHAFuture. In the first phase, DHA employees provided their ideas and suggested initiatives via on online forum. In phase two, the consultation programme included 90 members of the public and private health sector. His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of the DHA, said: “The idea behind this extensive stakeholder engagement is to prepare a strategy that fulfils the needs of all stakeholders- the public, medical professionals, healthcare facilities, investors etc. Seeking feedback and suggestions from the public is an essential part of this initiative because ultimately we serve the healthcare needs of our population and this initiative aims to understand their viewpoints so that we can formulate patient-centric solutions on the basis of which the policies could be drafted.” The strategy will be applicable until 2021 and will be updated regularly.
