Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 15, 2015: The Dubai Health Authority rolled out today its Hajj awareness campaign at the Dubai International Airport.

Dr Ahmad Bin Kalban, CEO of Hospital Services Centre inaugurated the campaign and said that the Authority will carry out its yearly Hajj awareness campaign at the Dubai International Airport to educate pilgrims about the dos and don’ts to ensure a safe pilgrimage.

As part of the campaign health professionals from the DHA’s primary healthcare sector and clinical nutritional department were present at the check-in areas of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to disseminate dietary and general health tips to pilgrims.

Kalban added that the DHA has three medical centres that are open 24 hours at Dubai International Airport to serve the medical needs of travellers.

Hamad Al Attar, Director of Airport Medical Centre at the DHA, said: “As part of the Hajj awareness campaign, we are distributing health education brochures, medical packages that contain a first-aid kit and umbrellas. We are also conducting free screenings including blood pressure and blood glucose tests for pilgrims.”
