Inspired by Meryl Streep, who was dressed by PAULE KA for the Golden Globes Awards among other occasions, PAULE KA Fall 2015-16 collection references the actress’ earlier landmark roles in “Kramer vs. Kramer” and “Manhattan”. Seventies-infused design accents include wide-legged pants, long coats and layering techniques. Silhouettes are high rise and high energy. Wool-weave tweed polo dresses are worn over matching wide-legged pants, leather boots start mid-calf, three-hole dresses are transformed into tunics. Luxe brocade and jacquard are offset against the graphic minimalism of black and white color blocking or camouflage print. Hints of mustard yellow, faded pink and aqua add a vintage tint to this season’s color palette. The collection is punctuated by a series of evening dresses that put the finishing touches to a timeless style: a contemporary spin on the effortless chic of the 70’s.
