Dubai, July 22, 2015: Leading global consultant WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has recruited 190 people in the Middle East in the first six months of 2015, including several senior appointments. The consultancy - which combined in October last year following the acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff by WSP - has won several key appointments recently including the lead consultant role for one of the most exclusive developments in Dubai - Bulgari Resort and Residences. It has also recently been appointed as lead designer on the Kabd-Sulaibiya Highway upgrade (KSH) in Kuwait and is involved with several major projects in the region including the Dubai Mall Expansions, Makkah Public Transport Program and Doha Metro. Managing Director Tom Bower commented, “We are a people business at the end of the day and our focus, as ever, is on retaining and attracting the very best people so that we can deliver the very best results for our clients.” As part of the recruitment drive, several senior appointments have been made recently: Fiachra Ó Cléirigh, Director joins WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff from Hyder Consulting where he was Property Sector Operations Director for the Middle East. He is a Chartered Engineer with an MBA from INSEAD and brings with him significant experience of the property, utilities and environment sectors across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Victoria Bond, Head of Integrated Waste Management has 12 years of experience in the waste and environmental consulting sector and joins WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff from Australia. She has previously worked for Hyder Consulting in the UK where she had responsibility for its Middle East waste portfolio. Ian Gould, Technical Director joins WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff from Hyder Consulting, bringing with him 35 years of experience in building services design and project management, with specific experience of commercial retail & leisure developments.
