Dubai Customs takes home Golden Globe Tigers Award 2015

Dubai – 01 July 2015: Dubai Customs is the proud winner of the coveted Golden Globe Tigers Award 2015, which aims to recognise CSR & social innovation, education & academic achievements across leadership levels in organisations that believe in excellence and perfection with limitless targets. The awarding ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Expressing his contentment for winning the prestigious award, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, said: “Today, Dubai Customs reaps the fruit of living by the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai ‘A Smart & Sustainable City’. We are committed to our social responsibility to enact H.H’s vision.”

“Taking part in local, regional and international competitions boosts the corporate reputation of Dubai Customs as a government agency committed to sponsoring and executing projects that serve all community segments. Bagging the Golden Globe Tigers Award is a strong drive for us to raise the bar,” Ahmed Mahboob added.

The Corporate Communication Director at Dubai Customs, Khalil Saqer bin Gharib noted that this is the first time DC has participated in the Golden Globe Tigers. “The measures taken as well as the commitment of the senior management to launching humanitarian initiatives are key factors for winning the award, which is a notable addition to a long record of over 25 CSR awards bagged by DC,” he said.

“We aspire to deliver a noble message that community work is wide open to government and private agencies. It is a humanitarian objective that is as important as security and economic objectives,” Bin Gharib added.
