Abu Dhabi 1 May 2014 - Fatima Khalifa Rashid al Mazmi of the UAE has won the prize in a tourism contest sponsored by the Abu Dhabi-based website www.hotelandrest.com. She said she was pleased with the prize which involves a free night stay and breakfast for two persons at Anantara Palm Jumeirah Dubai, for her and her family. Al Mazmi, who was given the prize at Iris Media office, said it would be the first time for her to stay at that luxury hotel. Public relations and communications manager at the hotel congratulated Al Mazmi on winning and wished her and her family a pleasant stay at the hotel.
Haneen Al Dawoud, director of the website said al Mazmi won the prize from among more than 6,000 participants in the contest and wished good luck to the contesters in the next competition, which was launched by the website this week. She noted that the contest organized by the website is intended to promote tourism in the UAE through the media and social networks and urged visitors and readers to explore historic sites in the UAE, which she said is rich in such a field. Iris Media, which owns the website, called on readers and visitors to the UAE to take part in such contests to win valuable prizes including free stay at major hotels in the UAE and other countries.
