ATM introduces new app which will be applied to key pages in ATM show daily to bring images to life in the form of videos For the first time in the Middle East, the Arabian Travel Market’s (ATM) magazine the “Show Daily” is venturing into the digital world by introducing a new app named ‘Augmented reality’ (AR). This app is not only a first for the Middle Eastern exhibition market, but it will also be applied to key pages of the Show Daily magazine to bring images to life in the form of professionally produced video content. The app is brought to ATM by NPI media, publishers of the Show Daily, who are introducing it for the first time. A team of videographers will be on site gathering content for the app, ensuring the latest news and information is accurately conveyed to the shows attendees, through a dynamic and interactive digital portal. “Augmented reality provides the opportunity to literally bring a story and message to life as a still image in the printed media jumps off the page through a smart phone or tablet; it moves, speaks and features music and animation to engage readers and viewers in a new and exciting way,” said Rob Nicholas, publisher of the show daily. Readers of the Show Daily can also share videos through other social media portals, allowing companies offering information to share the videos on their online platforms. The app also allows for videos to be received through electronic direct mailers (EDMs). “We are pleased to be the first to introduce this technology it in the form of a show daily. I am sure that tech-savvy visitors and exhibitors will be as excited by this as we are,” added Nicholas. The Arabian Travel Market takes place over four days, May 5-8, and the show daily will be featuring a limited number of videos, each approximately three-minutes long each day.
