Veteran Bollywood director Subhash Ghai whose claim to fame includes hit movies such as Ram Lakhan, Kalicharan, Karz, Saudagar, Khalnayak, Pardes and Taal returns after a hiatus of five years to direct his new movie - Kaanchi. Newcomers Mishti and Kartik Tiwari make their grand entry into Bollywood alongside seasoned veterans, Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty. Already ruling the airwaves are the beautiful compositions of music directors, Ismail Darbar and Salim-Sulaiman. 'Kaanchi' epitomises the inner power and conviction of a woman who represents millions of young people in her country and takes on the fight against injustice.
