Porsche Macan the driving force behind new Guinness World Record attempt Dubai. The new Porsche Macan will be the driving force behind an official Guinness World Record attempt for the most bungee jumps in 24 hours this weekend in Dubai. The Porsche Macan 24-Bungee event, sponsored by Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles, takes place on the 20th and 21st March at the Dubai Autodrome. 32-year old Dubai-based UK expat, athlete and fitness coach Colin Phillips will try to beat the current record of 105 bungee jumps in 24 hours, set by South African Kevin Scott Huntly in 2011. “Breaking a world record in bungee jumping is a childhood dream for me, and being so close to realising this dream is something I cannot express in words,” said Phillips, who is aiming to complete 200 jumps at a length of 100 metres each. “I have been preparing for this challenge for twelve months, and now it’s time for a good reward.” Arriving on Dubai roads this month, the Porsche Macan comes with the tag line, ‘Life, intensified’, appealing to an action, adventure and thrill seeking audience - something which Phillips believes makes it the perfect car to get behind his world record attempt. He added: “The Porsche Macan is a beautiful modern car that reflects a certain passion for life, where new challenges are ever-present; I see it as a metaphor for bungee jumping. Every drive is a new experience, a new feeling, the same effect for every jump that I will make this weekend.” An official judicator from Guinness World Records will be on hand at the Porsche Macan 24-Bungee to verify all jumps and ensure adherence to Guinness guidelines. The first bungee session will officially start at 7pm on Thursday 20th March and end at 11pm, while the second session runs from 6am to 10am the next day and the last from 2pm to 7pm.
