International vocal ensemble, the VOCA PEOPLE, are an innovative music act performing live and for free at the Al Ghurair Centre from 17thDecember – 23rdDecember. Their critically acclaimed vocal theatre performances combine oral sounds with a-cappella singing and beat boxing. The group of eight vocal musicians imitate whole orchestras, making the sounds of drums, trumpets, guitars and musical effects using nothing but their voices. With over 50 million hits on YouTube, their humorous yet mesmerising renditions include audience participation and interaction to create mega-mixes combining songs from the movies, diva ballads, romantic love songs and classical classics. Having performed around the world in over 25 different countries to an audience of over 1 million people, the VOCA PEOPLE have received huge international praise. David Thurling, VP of the Al Ghuair Centre says; “It's an absolute honour to have the VOCA PEOPLE performing in Dubai, let alone at the Al Ghurair Centre in Deira. We are thrilled to have them contribute to our Soul of the City campaign whereby recognisable acts have performed in our Central Atrium for free over the past three months”.
