The Al Ghurair Centre is Dubai's oldest and original shopping mall. To celebrate its longevity and National Day, it will have a week-long celebration marked by unique mall décor, an interactive graffiti station, live music and shopper giveaways. Shoppers will be given the chance to express what the UAE means to them in the form of art (both digitally and using spray paint), automatically entering them into the Al Ghurair Centre Facebook competition whereby the winner will be selected based on the highest ‘Likes received. The art wall will be up for a whole week for everyone to see and experiment with, getting the whole community involved. Also, an installation of up to 2,000 umbrellas in the UAE's national colours will be created and on display, hanging from the ceiling for a month at mall entrance 3. Finally, Emir Corbo, magician and juggler will be performing live, for free over the weekend and the grand final and semi-finals of the Battle of the Bands music competition will take place on the outdoor Al Rigga Road stage on Friday and Saturday.
