High quality German paint and insulation brand bolsters UAE investment Dubai: November 5, 2013: Germany's largest paint, coatings and insulation manufacturer, Caparol Paints, has launched their new retail outlets in the UAE as part of their ongoing expansion in the region. This comes in the wake of Caparol opening a new production plant in Dubai Industrial City earlier this year, which more than doubled the company's production capacity, boosting their ability to service the entire GCC. Caparol Paints LLC is a subsidiary of Emaar Industries & Investments. Speaking about their new retail offering, Caparol's General Manager for the Middle East, Gary Seabrook said, “We see our latest retail launches as just the beginning of a GCC-wide expansion plan that will be implemented over the next 5 years. The construction market is back on track and, as a result, the paint, coatings and insulation market is picking up. We are here to provide high quality, long-lasting products that are specifically researched and developed in Germany and on the ground in the UAE to suit the Middle East's climate. “We are seeing a lot more interest from applicators, contractors, as well as general consumers. Our retail expansion is largely based on the increase in demand for high quality paint and finishes.” Caparol's retail outlets offer a different experience for consumers with colour/design experts on site to provide consultancy to ensure the best functional and aesthetic results. “Colour accuracy and matching is very important to the contractor and applicator market. They want to be sure that their colour choice is correct to avoid delays and extra expense. We have taken it upon ourselves to respond to this need.” The outlets also offer a larger range of samples in terms of colour and texture combinations, in addition to a full range of environmentally-friendly, non-toxic products. Caparol prides itself on continuous research and development with special emphasis on innovative and sustainable products. Caparol's CapaCare paint range, which sets a new standard for its environmental friendliness with each product containing less than 1 g/l (or virtually zero) of Volatile Organic Compounds, bears testament to the company's dedication to consumer and environmental health. The full CapaCare range is ELF certified. ELF is Caparol's industry leading standard for environmental performance which indicates that the product is solvent free, VOC and plasticizers are virtually zero, and limited in-can preservation agents are used. Another example of Caparol's innovation is the CapaStone range, which provides an alternative to solid stone panels traditionally utilized in the region. CapaStone has become the finish of choice for architects, designers and applicators in the region due to its durability and the value it adds to projects in terms of aesthetics. The product provides a genuine and competitive alternative to solid stone. “Our new stores, which belong to exclusive dealers, are located in Dubai, Kalbaa and Abu Dhabi. We will have additional stores opening in Umm Al-Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah by the end of this year,” concludes Seabrook.
