Souk Al Marfa Displays Rare and Historic UAE Antiques in Newly Opened Museum Hub
• 100 million dirhams in artifacts and historic pieces displayed under one roof
• Selected artifacts date back between 40 to 200 years 
 
Dubai, 23 June 2022:  Travel back in time and learn about the rich history of the UAE as Souk Al Marfa, the waterfront souk and marketplace at Deira Islands, launches Museum Hub featuring 50 museums of the country’s most precious antiques and handmade paintings, medical and electronic instruments, a women’s museum and more. 
 
Providing an opportunity for the younger generation, expats and tourists to get a glimpse of the pre-millennium lifestyle and the unique heritage of the UAE, Museum Hub contains over 100 million dirhams worth of hand-collected antiques and medical instruments dating back between 40 and 200 years old or more, available for both observing and purchasing. The Hub aims to grow the collection by launching an additional 50 museums by September and 50 more every six months after that. 
 
The unique collection is made up of hand-made portraits of UAE’s leaders, medical stamps from postal offices in the UAE and around the world, authentic artifacts, jewellery, telecommunication devices, books, furniture, toys, unique daggers, hand-made tools, musical instruments, medical instruments, coins, fishing equipment and much more. In addition, the collection includes rare pearl boxes that date back 100 years as well as mandoos boxes in all sizes and shapes that go back 50 years. 
 
Muath Abdulqader Alrais, General Manager at Souk Al Marfa, said: “We are excited to be bringing residents and visitors the opportunity to observe multiple collections of the country’s most historical advancements under one roof. We look forward to welcoming visitors and providing a unique experience to all.” 
 
 
Naser Sulaiman, Founder of Museum Hub, said: “I have been collecting this selection of artifacts and antiques for over 25 years now with the aim to educate and inspire tourists, expats and younger generations to learn about the heritage of our country and the advancements it has made in the past 50 years. Collectors will also have access to a rare collection that has not been tapped into before.”
 
 
Visitors can also engage their senses through the aromatic perfume and oud exhibition or taste test and purchase chocolate and confectionery, baked goods, a rare collection of tea and coffee as well as hand-made ice cream that is prepared using the authentic Arabic stirring method. 
  Souk Al Marfa’s new operating hours are 12 noon to 12 midnight from Sunday to Thursday, 2 pm to 2 am on Friday and 12 pm to 2 am on Saturday.
