Adrenaline-fueled competition made its debut at the Waterfront Market Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15th December 2021: Spectators flocked to the Waterfront Market’s promenade last weekend to watch over 100 teams from 12 countries compete for the coveted EDBF Euro Cup Dragon Boat Championship trophies. Taking place outside of Europe for the first time in its history, the EDBF Euro Cup Dragon Boat Championship took place over two days with over 1,000 paddlers each day competing in 250 and 500-meter races. The winning lineup was as follows: Open 250m - ASD Canoa Club Sile Treviso - Time: 1:04:21 Open 500m - ASD Canoa Club Sile Treviso - Time: 2:14:20 Mixed 250m - Atlantis - Time: 1:12:05 Mixed 500m - Georgia Dragons - Time: 2:29:15 Women’s 250m - Asaroz Club - Time: 1:15:14 Women’s 500m - Dragon Force - Time: 2:31:22 Claudio Schermi, President of European Dragon Boat Federation, said: “The standard of the Dragon Boat teams this year was excellent. Congratulations, to all of the winners of the 2021 Euro Cup Dragon Boat Championship, they put in a sterling performance against many outstanding competing teams.
