Al Maya Group's Kamal Vachani leads large UAE delegation to Vietnam, meets minister

Dubai, UAE, July 19, 2018:  Mr. Kamal Vachani, Group Director of Al Maya Group along with a large business delegation from the UAE met Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The UAE business delegation led by Mr. Kamal Vachani discussed ways to boost both ways trade specially import from Vietnam. The Vice Minister welcomed the delegation along with Ngo Khai Hoan, Deputy Director General for South West Asia and Africa Market Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The value of foreign trade between the UAE and Vietnam, including free zones trade, totalled nearly $9 billion in 2017, with exports accounting for around $324 million, re-exports for around $282 million, and imports for around $8.4 billion. The UAE is eighth in the list of countries that import products from Vietnam and 32nd internationally in terms of exports in 2016.

“We are very happy to meet the Vice Minister and the discussion to boost trade between the UAE and Vietnam,” Mr. Kamal Vachani. Al Maya Group is keen to expand its products portfolio from Vietnam, Mr. Vachani said.

Al Maya Group, the UAE-based business conglomerate, has more than 50 supermarkets in the GCC countries in addition to other businesses.
