Over 500 children join in to express love to their mothers at Dalma Mall

Abu Dhabi, 25th March 2018:  Abu Dhabi’s favourite mall creates a heartwarming Art tribute with over 500 spectacular paintings from its recently rolled out Mother’s Day Art Competition 2018. The competition involved students in grade 6 to 10, from 54 different schools in the community spanning from various curricula and nationalities. 

Dalma Mall, with the support of ADEK, was able to announce the Art Competition across multiple schools to invite the maximum number of participants. Hosted for the 2nd consecutive year, the 2018 Mother’s Day Art Competition received twice the number of school participation compared to last year. The 10 best art submissions from each participating schools were coordinated and collected to creatively exhibit them with an “I LOVE MOM” message in the central atrium of the mall, starting from the 15th of March 2018 

Apart from being on display in the mall, each art creation was also uploaded on the mall’s Facebook page inviting public votes for their favourite painting(s). This encouraged these amazing budding talents to compete for the top 3 positions, that would be rewarded with prizes worth AED 25,000, AED 10,000 and AED 5,000 respectively in addition to trophies for the schools that each winning entry represented. While the paintings will still be on display in the mall, the online voting closes on the 8th of April at 10:00am

The social media coverage of ”Dalma Mall Mother’s Day Activation” witnessed an organic growth of over 7,000 Facebook likes to date and a tremendous reach of nearly a million in its 1st activation week, as well as 120,000 comments, shares and active public engagement.

The activity culminating on the 13th of April 2018 with an award ceremony is expected to draw as many students, parents, teachers and principals of the participating schools.
