Dubai, June 19, 2017: Dubai Outlet Mall, the UAE Red Crescent Authority and Rawafed Centre joined hands this Ramadan to provide free Eid clothing and other items to 50 underprivileged children in the UAE. This is a part of Dubai Outlet Mall’s commitment to the ‘Year of Giving’ programme of 2017, announced by the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative titled “Joy of Eid - Making a Difference in this Year of Giving”, saw the Rawafed Centre bringing the children to the mall and helped by the UAE Red Crescent volunteers. The children gathered for Iftar at the mall and were taken to the different outlets and were helped to pick brand news clothes and various items of their choice. Speaking about the activity, Mohammed Khammas, CEO Al Ahli Holding Group, said, “It gives us great pleasure to contribute towards the ‘Year of Giving’. At Dubai Outlet Mall, we are always committed to giving back to the society and helping the underprivileged in the way we can. With the ‘Joy of Eid - Making a Difference in this Year of Giving’ activity this year we have managed to bring a smile to 50 kids along with the generous participating outlets. We hope to create more avenues and opportunities for the needy to lead a better and a more fulfilling life.” Sheikha Khammas, Head of CSR and Community Outreach at Al Ahli Holding Group, said, “This programme has been developed keeping the underprivileged kids in mind. We wanted to ensure at least some of them get the opportunity to enjoy the Eid festivities as is with everyone else. We are happy that UAE Red Crescent and Rawfed Centre came forward as partners. We are very pleased with the outcome and with the involvement of all the participating outlets at the Dubai Outlet Mall. Everybody has been very generous and forthcoming in providing various items for the children.” The campaign is a part of Dubai Outlet Mall’s ongoing efforts and commitment to ensure a joyous Eid to the needy children in the country. The programme was supported by these outlets at the mall - Sacoor Women & Kids Outlet, Carters Outlet, Pynkiss Milano Outlet, Guess Outlet, Kids Puzzle Outlet, Original Marines Outlet, Solomon & Wilson Outlet, Mc Donald’s, The Happy Place Outlet and Chuck E. Cheese’s. The children were taken to the stores and were asked to choose from various items like clothing, toys, shoes and accessories. The fun day for the kids ended with a dress up event at a Pop Up feature at the Dubai Outlet Mall.
