Once Again, Costa Coffee Celebrates Emirates Airline Festival of Literature with the Launch of the Costa ‘Hot vs. Cold' Debate

For this Litfest, we sat with the noble intention,
To spark young minds into literary invention.

And inspired by our coffee, a thought did unfold,
Of a content we’ve entitled ‘Hot vs. Cold’.

With this theme as a subject we thought at this time,
To ask for your entries in story or rhyme.

To help your words flow, as an incentive for you.
There’s the trip of a lifetime and it’s one made for two.

With this prize, you’ll devise what journey you’ll take,
Set your standards to stunning, there’s much here at stake.

Make us laugh, make us cry, be quite wistful or bold,
Be dramatic or solemn with ‘Hot vs. Cold’.

So come on you poets, you authors and scribes,

Dubai, UAE, 5th January 2017:  For the fourth year running, Costa Coffee is a proud sponsor of the 9th Emirates Airline Literature Festival - and this year, the brand is celebrating with the launch of the Costa ‘Hot vs Cold’ Debate. The debate, a competition that brings together people’s mutual love of literature, invites fans to showcase their creative abilities by writing a short, 300 word blurb on where they stand on one very debateable issue: Hot vs. Cold. Costa Coffee and the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature welcome entries between December 14, 2016 to February 15, 2017, and entries can be submitted online on www.emirateslitfest.com/competitions/writing-competitions/costa-debate/. Entries are welcomed in both English and Arabic, and open to all ages and any nationality who is currently a resident in the UAE. One winner will be selected to receive an exciting trip for two anywhere in the world, including flights and accommodation, and inclusive of and up to value of 20,000AED. 5 Runner Up prizes will be awarded a year’s supply of free coffee.
