Ajman Department of Economic Development holds first Ajman Food Festival under the motto Enjoy the Tastes of Ajman

Ajman Food Festival is a unique experience based on mobile restaurants

Ajman, United Arab Emirates: The Ajman Department of Economic Development (ADED) organized the first Ajman Food Festival as part of the department's initiatives to support various economic sectors. The festival aims to create promotional opportunities for food and beverage activities in the Emirate of Ajman, and to give attention to and support emerging national projects. The festival was launched on Thursday, 11 February and will run until 20 February 2016. It opens from four o'clock in the afternoon until midnight, and is located on Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Street in Al Zahra area under the motto 'Enjoy the Tastes of Ajman.'

The Ajman Food Festival serves as a unique experience for food lovers, who will have the chance to try different cuisines in a distinctive atmosphere based on a new trend in the restaurant sector: mobile restaurants, which provide their services through special cars that offer various meals. The festival includes a section for Emirati traditional cuisine and a children's play area, allowing visitors to try new foods and enjoy their time in a beautiful natural desert setting in the emirate.

HE Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, Director General of ADED, said that the festival, in its first edition of this year under the motto 'Enjoy the Tastes of Ajman,' aims to support food and beverage activities in the Emirate of Ajman, and offers a mix of events and entertainment activities aimed at providing a new and distinctive experience to families and individuals to give them the opportunity to explore diverse culinary arts and foods from all over the world, especially the local traditional cuisine.

Mr. Mohamed Masoud Al Ketbi - director of ADED's promotion and event management department which organized the festival - said that there has been joint cooperation and coordination to launch and ensure the success of this festival, including ADED, the Municipality and Planning Department, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Emirate of Ajman, each according to their field of specialization, in addition to taking appropriate measures pertaining to security and preparing the venue to receive visitors. 

The festival includes many promotional activities and offers providing delicious international cuisine and traditional Emirati dishes for residents and visitors to the Emirate of Ajman, satisfying all tastes and nationalities.
