Dubai-based dance institute celebrates a successful season of providing professional dance training and performance opportunities to students Dubai, UAE, 10th January 2016: Strikers Dance, a Dubai-based dance institute hosted its first winter camp gala on Friday 8th January at the children’s city auditorium in Dubai creek park. The annual winter camp gala showcased a series of engaging and exciting dances by the faculty and students who entertained the audience with their moves throughout the evening. The event began with an official inauguration ceremony that was followed by power-packed dance performances across different dance styles including hip-hop, freestyle, animation, locking and popping, bollywood, jazz etc. Additionally, the students also presented a special classical contemporary act. This season’s program also included a party themed fancy dress competition where students were seen flaunting their best party attires. The participants were judged on the basis of creativity, innovation and stage presence. In addition to this, students also showcased their other talents like singing and stand up comedy in the form of solo performances. To make it more memorable, the institute had also organised a complimentary photo booth session for guests at the event. Padma Ramachandran, Co-Founder at Strikers Dance, said: “The event was organised to celebrate a successful winter camp which comprised high-quality professional dance training, education, personality development, art and craft and also provided several performance opportunities to students. “At Strikers Dance, we aim to provide the highest quality dance education and performance experiences that reinforce the principle that the art of dance is for everyone. Our objective is to teach and encourage children and adults to integrate dance into their lives for better individual and community health and well-being,” added Ramachandran. The glittering event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the best performances of the fancy dress competition, arts and crafts, etc., along with certificates for participation were awarded. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session with the audience. The event came to a close with a short vote of thanks by the organisers.
