JA Ocean View Hotel showcases the best of local culture through its Emirati Village

• JA Resorts & Hotels celebrates the run-up to the UAE’s 44th National Day with the creation of an Emirati Village at JA Ocean View Hotel, “The Walk” JBR, Dubai.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 2015: Celebratethe rich heritage of the UAE at JA Ocean View Hotel at the“The Walk” JBR, Dubai. The property has recreated an Emirati Village in the lead up to UAE’s 44th National Day that showcases the pride of Emirati culturewithin five tents that house a host of fun-filled localevents. 

Over the three-week period of the Emirati Village, visitors are invited to partake in uniqueactivities, within each of the tents. A traditional costume tent allows visitors the chance to dress up in local attire and capture these memories with a professional photographer on site. Another tent showcases the intricate detail and beauty of the traditional art of Henna with an artist who can treat guests to a temporary henna tattoo. Visitors can also enjoy a true Arabian experience ina traditional Majlis seating area where they can watch freshly baked Arabic dessert bread being prepared by local women and sample the baked goods and a selection of Arabic sweets and coffee. Videos and pictures of the changing face of Dubai will be displayed in the Village, giving tourists insight on how the city has evolved.

The festivities kicked off with an Opening Ceremony on 12th November, 2015 and the Emirati Village will remain on exhibit in the Atrium area of JA Ocean View Hotel until 3rd December, 2015.JA Resorts & Hotels has teamed up with local NGO,Beit Al Khair, which provides humanitarian services to the needy UAE nationals. The JA teamwill gift and honor the Beit Al Khair’sorphans and eldersduring the Emirati Village. The charity will be conducting a special talk on UAE’s history and heritage and also hosting the quiz evenings and a souvenir booth. All proceeds from activities at the Emirati Village will go towards the Bait Al Khair Society.

The Emirati Village also features car shows shows by Nissan, Mini Cooper, Corvetteand Classic cars to dazzle visitors. The Dubai Police adds to the festivities grandeur with a Ladies Bike show. The Emirati Village will be open fromThursday 12th November to Wednesday 3rd December 2015, daily from from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and until 12:00 a.m. on the weekend within the Atrium at JA Ocean View Hotel.
