Sharjah, UAE, 5th January 2015: Centro Sharjah, by Rotana is proud to welcome Sharjah Municipality in its endeavour to award representatives from the food industry with the Master Certificate of the Good Hygiene Practices Training Program.

The Sharjah Food Safety Program (SFSP) is a government initiative being led by Her Excellency Sheikha Dr. Rasha Al-Qassemi. The Program is bringing food safety training, assessment, management system implementation, audit and certification to the food sector in the Emirate of Sharjah. The GHP Program which falls under the SFSP is a five day training course, delivered by Ph-D qualified instructors. This is Sharjah Municipalities attempt to improve and maintain the standard of hygiene and quality at various food premises in the emirate.

To felicitate the winners, Her Excellence Shaikha Dr. Rasha Al-Qasimi, Assistant Director-General for the Public Health Sector and Central Laboratories shall be the guest of honour accompanied by other government officials and representatives from Sharjah Municipality.

“Centro Sharjah strives to ensure that our guests and colleagues are exposed to the highest quality of food produce and hygiene standards” according to Mr Michael Kasch, General Manager at Centro Sharjah. He also added “We are extremely glad that Mrs Jisha Philip, The EHS manager at Centro Sharjah is now awarded Master Trainer of the GHP. She shall lead this project in ensuring food hygiene training is imparted at all levels of food handling at Centro Sharjah”.
