New line inspired by Dubai Fountain Organic tie-dye technique used for collection Dubai, April 7, 2014: Beenas, one of the Arab world’s popular women luxury fashion brand, has launched its summer collection of Jalabiyas in the UAE with the world-famous Dubai Fountain as the inspiration behind the colours and patterns. “The new collection is like a whiff of fresh air on a sultry day. The visual spectrum of colours and patterns offered by the world’s largest choreographed fountain has inspired me for the latest offering. The choice of colours and patterns gives more casualness to the new collection,” said Beena Soni, the celebrated designer behind the brand celebrating its 17th successful year. “One will be amazed with the tremendous volume of design patterns and visual colour delights that the Fountain provides. We have used tie-dye technique with cotton and crepe chiffon. Also, this summer we have introduced a different cut to one jalabiya which can be worn with jeans for a more casual look and comfort,” she added. Tie-dyeing is based on the traditional art of folding or tying fabric to resist the dyes and create unique patters of color.A sneak preview of the collection among the fashionistas drawn from several emirates and GCC states generated rave responses. The new collection has been featured on the brand’s newly-revamped official website, www.beenas.ae. The richness and appeal of the collection comprising of 10 to 15 designs has been enhanced with internationally-renowned singer-actress Rageshwari modeling for the Beenas collection, highlighting the rising acceptance of jalabiyas as a fashionable wear in non-Arab world. Beenas boutiques are located in Sharjah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi in addition to Mumbai. Each year, Beenas comes out with four collections for summer, winter, Eid and New Year.
