Treat the Family to a Look into the Rich History of Tunisia

The Tunisian Pavilion at Global Village Offers Visitors a Great View of What Makes the Country so Unique

Dubai, 16 March, 2014: Global Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural destination, allows local residents and tourists the unique ability to experience the cultures of a wide variety of other countries. Visitors to Global Village should pass by the Tunisian pavilion to see all the amazing products on offer.

A trip to the Tunisian pavilion should start off with a look at the very unique Tunisian desert rose which is found, predominantly, in the Saharan desert. The desert roses have the oil of roses sprinkled on them, and this lovely aroma wafts through the pavilion. These stones act as aesthetically pleasing statues to have around the house. They also spread the wonderful aromas around the house. These desert roses are a unique North African stone that is believed to have healing properties and be good for clearing the mind.

Visitors can find many fantastic items for the home and as gifts for friends at the Tunisian pavilion. Copper and silver plates which are hand chiseled with special Islamic engravings and Arabic art. Hechmi Werteni has been practicing this highly skilled calligraphy art for 35 years now, after becoming fascinated with the techniques while he was in art school. The plates can also be inscribed with a name so it can be given as a personalized gift.

The coastal town of Nabeul makes an appearance at the Tunisian pavilion with its colourful and unique pottery that is both handmade and hand painted. The significant difference between the two types of platters they are selling is that one is used to cook with while the other is for serving. The colourful patterns will brighten up cooking at home and your kitchen’s cupboards.

Tunisia is also home to some fantastic perfumes that can be used on the body and around the house. The most prominent smelling perfumes are the jasmine, and the white musk is proving to be very popular as well. Both of these are used on the body. The orange flower perfume is used for around the house to make rooms smell nice when guests are over. The bottles the perfumes come in are dainty and can be brought separately as decorative pieces for the home.

Global Village offers visitors a unique chance to experience the greatness of countries like Tunisia without leaving the comforts of home behind. Visitors can experience countries through authentic accessories, handicrafts, and the foods that are available from Global Village.
