Voting across 17 categories open to public till March 23 It’s official: British designer Giles Deacon and ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Amber Atherton will descend upon Dubai to play hosts at the 8th annual Grazia Style Awards, held on March 25, at the MusicHall, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. A gifted and versatile designer, who honed his craft working with varied fashion houses - Jean Charles De Castelbajac, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta, DAKS and Gucci (women’s wear, alongside Tom Ford), Giles Deacon is universally credited with injecting high-octane glamour into British fashion with his confident, statement-like and playful style. He came into the spotlight in 2004, at a time of boom for British fashion, presenting his first collection at London Fashion Week A/W. It was considered an instant hit and subsequently featured in the American, British, Japanese, Italian and French Vogue, as well as in W, Harper's Bazaar, POP and i-D; and was bought by retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges. The industry accolades poured in as well: 'Best New Designer' at the British Fashion Awards (2004), 'Best New Designer' by Elle magazine (2005), and 'British Designer of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards (2006). Equally successful as a TV personality, actress, model, entrepreneur and designer, is Amber Atherton, who will join Giles Deacon in hosting the Grazia Style Awards. Amber was scouted at 15 by Premier Model Management and has since enjoyed a flourishing modelling career, appearing in Vogue, Love and Tatler. She became hugely popular in the UK starring in the award winning show ‘Made In Chelsea’. But her talents extend beyond the limelight: she’s studying for a degree in Fashion Management at London College of Fashion and working on a fine jewellery collection; moreover, she is the founder of cult jewellery boutique www.myflashtrash.com, a favourite among celebrities and media. All voters will automatically enter a prize draw, held on March 18, to win a luxury getaway for two to London, including Virgin Atlantic flights, hotel accommodation and a designer shopping spree from Harrods.
