IAA UAE held an official announcement for their upcoming regional and global conferences

IIA Global Council Conference followed by UAE IAA 15th Annual Regional Audit Conference in Dubai.

Dubai, UAE (March 10, 2014): Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of DMI, the Internal Audit Association (UAE IAA) hosted a press conference on Sunday, March 9th, 2014 at the Hall of the Oasis Hotel InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

The press conference unveiled further details of the upcoming IIA Global Council event taking place on the 10th & 11th of March, in addition to the UAE IAA 15th Annual Regional Audit Conference which will be held on the 16th & 17th of March, in Dubai.

Furthermore, the IIA Global council will provide a platform for Institute leaders from around the globe to provide inputs on issues pertaining to governance, strategy, institute and member services. Additionally, the 15th Annual Regional Audit Conference is considered the largest “smart” conference in the Middle East related to internal audit and many strategic important themes covering Risk management, Innovation, Fraud, Technology. Compliance and emerging issues, Future industry trend and an Arabic track.

“The profession of internal audit facilitates effective governance and achievement of the organization’s business objectives and these conferences will increase the awareness of the profession in the UAE and the region”, said the Chairman of UAE IAA, Abdulqader Obaid Ali.

The whole activity aims in providing assistance and advice to establishments, companies and other entities with all that is relevant in improving Internal Audit departments,  encouraging the free exchange of knowledge, information and skills within the business sector; besides organising training courses, seminars, conferences and studies relating to Internal Audit and creating an atmosphere suitable for networking and communication among workers in this field.

Mr. Abdulqader Obaid Ali was one of the three main speakers at the press conference, along with Mr. Richard Chambers President and CEO of IIA Global and Mr. Paul Sobel Chairman of IIA Global Board.
