Record-breaking quarter wraps up with a robust line-up of exhibitions, conferences, and events this month Dubai, United Arab Emirates The region’s most glamorous luxury show - featuring super-yachts, powerboats and supercars - will be one of 20 global exhibitions in March, putting Dubai at the heart of several key industries as the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) approaches its busiest season. The Dubai International Boat Show, organised by DWTC and held at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi, is the focal point of the recreational boat industry, attracting visitors from all over the world and bolstering the local economy. Other industries showing at DWTC throughout March include oil and gas, education, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, media, technology, equine, agriculture, healthcare and landscaping, attracting a total of over 150,000 visitors to DWTC in March alone. “DWTC is set to welcome 20 exhibitions, conferences and events this month which will thrust Dubai into the international spotlight yet again,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, Senior Vice President - Venues, DWTC. “We will continue to play a key role in supporting key industries that enable Dubai’s global standing within the MICE sector and encourage our thousands of visitors to take advantage of the emirate’s solid reputation as a leading business hub for their business and networking goals.” March’s events started off with the Offshore Arabia Exhibition and Conference from March 3 to 5, showcasing some of the world’s most advanced technology and knowledgeable experts, specialised in preparing for and preventing oil spills and protecting the marine environment. Between March 4 and 6, a leading regional educational show, the Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions, will display advances in education and allow companies to get ahead of the competition in the booming sector and Paperworld Middle East and Playworld Middle East will hold the region’s largest show for stationary, paper and office supplies. The strong run of vibrant exhibitions will continue with the Dubai International Boat Show at Dubai International Marine Club from March 4 to 8. The Boat Show will showcase 750 exhibiting companies and brands with 42 global and regional premiers scheduled to take place. The region’s leading leisure marine event organised by Dubai World Trade Centre, is expected to draw 26,000 visitors from 70 countries. Between March 10 and 12, three concurrent exhibitions will give businesses from a trio of industries the opportunity to develop their customer bases and grow. These are The Middle East Coatings Show, the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition, and the IFTDO World Congress and Exhibition 2014. In its 43rd year, IFTDO, the multinational Training and Development organisation representing more than 500,000 professionals from over 30 countries, will host its congress under the umbrella of “Leadership Impact on Human Resources Development.” Each congress provides an invaluable network for sharing crucial knowledge and skills for progressing personal growth, human performance, and sustainable development; a key priority across all industries in the Emirates. The highly anticipated CABSAT MENA exhibition, the region’s leading broadcast, digital media and satellite expo, celebrates its twentieth anniversary with over 850 exhibitors from March 11 to 13. The oil and gas industry will benefit from the month’s second major industry event as Arab Oil and Gas Exhibition is scheduled to take place between March 17 and 19, providing executives and decision makers to network with peers and buyers from around the region. From March 17 to 20, the Arablab Exhibition will help build a bridge between developed and emerging markets by bringing the world’s most advanced technology in medical research, biotechnology, petrochemicals, environmental pollution and nano technology to the DWTC. This exhibition will be followed by another much anticipated event, one of the world’s leading equine shows, Dubai International Horse Fair, between March 20 and 22. This will coincide with the launch of the Dubai leg of the Cavalia UAE tour, which will host its premiere on March 20, forming a spring equestrian festival in Dubai for the industry and horse loving fans. AGRA Middle East Exhibition, the Middle East’s largest agriculture trade event will continue DWTC’s strong run of exhibitions from March 24 to 26. Showcasing over 250 international exhibitors, the event will create a platform for industry leaders in Agriculture, Poultry, Aquaculture, and Machinery and Supplies to network and enhance business solutions. Taking place during the same time is the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition from March 25 to 27. By hosting conferences and workshops, the exhibition will create a forum for leading humanitarian figures to interact and share global knowledge on latest trends and practices. Rounding off a record-breaking quarter, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Exhibition and Conference will be held from March 30 to April 1 and the International Outdoor Design and Landscaping Show will run from March 31 to April 2.
