Prestigious awards dedicated to the achievements of women in Saudi Arabia United Arab Emirates: ITP Consumer today announced the launch of the Arab Woman Awards KSA 2014. Following the success of the Arab Woman Awards UAE, Qatar and Kuwait for five consecutive years, the organisers have decided to create the first Arab Woman Awards KSA which will take place at a prestigious ladies-only ceremony in January at the Al Faisaliah Hotel Riyadh under the guidance of HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud. Launched in 2009 the Arab Woman Awards aim to provide a platform to raise public awareness of the significant achievements of Arab women. Since its inception the awards have recognized over 170 accomplished females from sectors including business, education, art, literature, sport, fashion, health, humanitarian, media and entrepreneurship. The Arab Woman Awards were founded by ITP Consumer Deputy Manager Director, Sue Holt who kept discovering reports of inspiring, hard working and talented Arab women. As the region's largest women's publishing house she wanted to provide an arena to promote these women in a way that befitted their culture. Sue Holt said ‘The launch of the Arab Woman Awards KSA is another exciting chapter in these awards. Having visited the country for the first time recently I have already met highly educated, determined and successful women so am looking forward to working with the judges to showcase the wealth of talented women that Saudi Arabia has to offer.' The Arab Woman Award winners are decided through a Board of Judges from the particular country who themselves are respected and leading members of society following a set criteria per award as provided by ITP. General criteria include the contribution that the winner has made to the country and advancements in their particular field in the past 12 months. The rigorous judging process takes place over a 2-month period and the KSA Board will be meeting the first week of January in Riyadh to discuss and select the final award winners who will be presented later that month. The Arab Woman Awards KSA 2014 is being hosted in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Sayidaty, Zahra Breast Cancer Association and Rawaj International.
