SNOW FORECAST FOR DUBAI THIS WEEKEND Dubai, UAE, 3 December 2013: Dubai's most hotly anticipated festive celebration will open its doors to the public this weekend. With over 100 brands, retailers and participants confirmed for the show, visitors will be delighted with the array of festive activities on offer. And that's not all. With snow forecast every hour on the hour, and special appearances from Santa Claus himself, the Dubai Christmas Festival is the main event for seasonal celebrations. Running from 5-7 December at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, the Dubai Christmas Festival will play host to more than twelve joyful attractions, including a Christmas market, Candelite Christmas Tree, Dubai's big snowball fight, a fun fair and even a Peter Pan Pantomime performance presented by Lindt. With help from DesertSnow™, suppliers to Hollywood and the world leaders in artificial snow and winter effects, organisers are going all out to enhance that Christmassy feeling – visitors can expect to see incredible, realistic, falling snow over Media City, Visitors can get in the festive spirit and watch Dubai's magical Candelite Christmas Tree brighten up the skyline with a lighting ceremony at 6pm each night. Santa and his elves will be checking their lists twice in the magical grotto to make sure you've been nice! Be sure to post your wish list to Santa in the post box to be in with a chance to win a host of special prizes. If you are looking to pick up some baking tips from the event or unleash your creative side, The French Bakery will be displaying their culinary skills with a festive gingerbread house. Visitors can decorate their own ginger bread house to take home – the perfect homemade present for loved ones! Crate and Barrel will also be hosting a festive workshop, providing visitors with top tips for all things Christmas. Festival goers can take part in Dubai's biggest snowball fight in the specially crafted snow park zone and practice their skating skills on the open air ice rink. For shopaholics, the Christmas Market will bring together a collection of global brands, local designers and artisans who will be selling their exclusive seasonal products, ideal for unique gifts on Christmas day.
