ACBC (Advanced Commuter Basic Concept) sets foot in Dubai. The footwear brand founded by Gio Giacobbe and Edoardo Iannuzzi opened its first showroom at the Mirdif City Centre in Dubai. A true escalation of the modular sneakers, ACBC allows the consumer to separate the sole of the shoe from the upper (skin) through a simple zipper. In addition to the purchase of complete footwear, it is possible to buy soles individually, available in three models, and skins, offered in 61 variants and over 244 color combinations. In the words of its founders, ACBC is a project designed for the contemporary 'fashion traveler' who needs to pack shoes for different occasions without sacrificing the space available in their luggage.
By the end of 2018, around 250,000 pairs of sneakers had already been produced and delivered to consumers in Italy and Europe. The phenomena, which is a great success in the United States and Japan comes to Dubai in the form of a spacious store located on the ground floor of the Mirdif City Centre.
In addition to being extremely travel-friendly and stylish, there is also the green aspect: the production of the sole is the phase with the highest C02 emission in the life cycle of a shoe, but buying just one sole and two skins instead of two pairs of shoes, you cut the raw material consumption.
The collections born out of the collaboration with Emporio Armani and Love Moschino has already caught the attention of the fashion circle of Dubai. With sustainability at its heart, this novel and patented concept is sure to the new favorite among the sneaker-loving Dubai fashionistas and anybody who loves to zip up their style!
