Dubai, 09 July 2018:   Since the 2nd and until Wednesday 11 July Emirates Post Group, the UAE’s leading postal and express provider has organized a series of blood donation drives at its central post offices across the nation: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention's Blood Bank, the drive supports the “My Blood for My Country” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.

'The campaign has received a positive response from our employees and customers,' noted Obaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Post Group. 'The drive is also aimed at reinforcing the values that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, was a firm advocate of. Donating blood provides assistance to those in need and is a humanitarian gesture under the principles of volunteerism and solidarity'.

'Organizing such a campaign is in line with the directives of our wise leadership towards serving the community,' continued Al Qatami, 'Blood donation drives significantly supports the blood inventory at our national hospitals, which in turn, may result in saving the lives of many patients. 

Emirates Post Group encourages the positive contributions and cooperative spirit within communities and invites anyone who is able to donate blood to do so.
