“Today, we are celebrating the UAE’s 46th National Day, a historic occasion that commemorates our united goals, aspirations, and achievements; and highlights our loyalty to, pride of, and willingness to sacrifice for our beloved country. The UAE has become a global model for peaceful coexistence, equality, justice, rule of law, and respect for human dignity - all of which are key pillars of our sustainable prosperity, development, and growth. The second of December reminds us of our cultural gains and of the values laid down by our late founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The National Day celebrations demonstrate our vision for the future under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members, and Rulers of the emirates. As we celebrate the spirit of the union and the establishment of the UAE more than four decades ago, we remember and take great pride in our achievements as a united country. We reaffirm our loyalty and allegiance to our wise leaders and reiterate our commitment to promote the UAE as a secure, safe, developed, and stable nation. On this important occasion that reflects our unity, we, at the Supreme Legislation Committee, renew our commitment to consolidate our mission to achieve legislative excellence by drafting modern legislation that keeps pace with the future and helps catapult the UAE into the ranks of the world's most advanced nations.”
