Appointment of Dr Roy CJ as the Hon. Consul, Slovak Republic and Opening of the Hon. Consulate of Slovak Republic in Bangalore on the 27 Sept 2017

Confident Group is proud to say our Founder & Chairman Dr Roy CJ has been Appointed as the “Honorary Consul” for Slovak Republic which is a European Union State. As the “Honorary Consul” he would be heading the Honorary Consulate of Slovak Republic which is situated in Bangalore with Jurisdiction of Karnataka & Kerala States.

This is a prestigious appointment since this appointment is done by the Government of Slovak Republic and ratified and recognized by the Honorable President of India. This is a Diplomatic Position with diplomatic powers and immunities for Hon. Consul’s as per Vienna Convention. I am the 1st NRI from UAE to receive this appointment and recognization from a Foreign Country and more importantly an European Union member State.

The Roles and Responsibilities of the “Hon Consul” is to head the Honorary Consulate of the appointing Nation.
The Honorary Consul is also designated by the foreign government to look after the affairs of their citizens in foreign appointed country. They also handle issues like Citizen’s emergencies and trade of the Parent country. They also handle issues of citizen services, trade and travel of Dignitaries of the Parent Country.
They also represent the Country appointing them in their respective Jurisdiction and roles & responsibilities allotted and assigned. The Hon. Consulate would also have a team of Staff members to handle the same.

The Process of selection and appointment is very Long and detailed. Apart from Mandatory Clearance from all the Govt Agencies in India the Appointee has to attend numerous appointment interviews with the Slovakian Govt Ministries. Based on the Interview, Society Standing of the Candidate and clearances from the Indian National Govt agencies which includes Home Ministry and Minstry of External Affairs the appoint is made the Slovak Republic Govt and ratified and recognized by “Honourable President of India”. The whole Process of appointment, recognization and Hon Consulate Office Establishment took almost 18 months and it is a Pride and Pleasure to First break the news of the Office of the Hon Consulate opening to my UAE Media Friends which includes Print, TV and Online Media. And the Hon. Consulate in Bangalore is Scheduled to Open on the 27 Sept 2017 in Bangalore in the presence of His Excellency Mr Lukas Parizek, State Secretary (Vice Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovak Republic and His Excellency Mr. Zigmund Bertok, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to India.
