Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre Welcomes Senior Delegation from Chechen Republic

•    Chairman of Vnesheconombank leads delegation on visit to gain understanding of DIFC structure 
•    Chairman of Emaar Properties PJSC His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar in attendance 
•    Visit explores ways to strengthen relations between UAE and Chechen Republic 

Dubai-UAE: 20 April 2017 - His Excellency Essa Kazim, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), welcomed a senior delegation yesterday from the Chechen Republic led by Gorkov Sergey Nikolaevich, Chairman of Vnesheconombank, the Russian state-owned development bank. His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties PJSC, was also in attendance.

The objective of the Chechen delegation’s trip to Dubai was to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in the areas of investment, cultural and tourist exchange. 

His Excellency Essa Kazim, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre, said: “We are honoured to welcome a senior delegation from the Chechen Republic to DIFC during their visit to the UAE, highlighting our facilities and ecosystem here which help make DIFC the leading financial hub for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
