Week 10 of the du UAE FA Academy League Results Dubai, UAE - 17 April 2017 - In the final weeks in the nation’s du UAE FA Academy League week 10 saw the top teams battling it out against strong contenders to hold on to their lead. With goals galore scored throughout the weekend it was du LaLiga HPC and EFF who kept their lead at the top of the league table. Over in Abu Dhabi, in a surprise turn of events Al Jazira Club overwhelmed Dubai’s E-Sports playing the beautiful game with focus and determination. The team worked like a well-oiled machine every pass made with precision and intention to enable Saeed Al Maamri to score a super hat-trick in a record breaking 13 minutes from kick-off. Mohammed Khalid scored another two for Al Jazira before the half-time whistle. Al Jazira played a defensive second-half preventing E-Sports from finding the back of the net and took home the win 7-0. du LaLiga HPC met Abu Dhabi Elite in one of the most anticipated matches of the week. The players from du LaLiga HPC rose to the occasion owning the match with 80% possession for a solid 70 minutes. It was Ramy Hatem who opened the score line at 11 minutes. The team followed suit, with a free kick sent home by a Wahdan header, a hat-trick by Salam and two stunning goals by Mohammed Eyad and Ahmad El Yamani moments before the final whistle. du LaLiga HPC bagged a 7-0 win and kept their comfortable lead in the table. Al Ahli Club met Abu Dhabi’s EFF on their home turf. Whilst both teams had squads capable of taking home 3 points, it was EFF’s determination in the second half that led them to take the victory 2-1. EFF opened the first half on the defensive by setting up off-side traps to stifle the Al Ahli striking force. Al Ahli’s experience shone through with 4 solid attempts on goal with the fifth eventually breaking free when, in the 25th minute, Daoud Mohammed broke free to rocket a piercing shot into the back of the EFF net. With Al Ahli dominating the first half, it seemed like the match had already been decided, but true to EFF’s reputation, they came back revitalised in the second half. They placed waves of pressure onto the Al Ahli goalkeeper which resulted with a goal by Taha Rabie five minutes into the second half followed swiftly with an own-goal by Al Ahli’s. A mere four minutes later, EFF’s goalkeeper received a red card. With no more substitutions available for EFF, one of their defenders, took the gloves and was faced with his greatest challenge as a penalty was awarded to Al Ahli moments later. What seemed like a set goal for Al Ahli minutes before the final whistle which would have taken them to a 2-2 draw, was dramatically saved by man-of-the-match Mohamed Attar for a final score of 2-1 to EFF. In other matches, earlier in the week Al Ahli Club tied against TFA 3-3. However, TFA took the points in their match against Legends of Kalba with a 7-1 win. PSG met FCBEscola on Saturday and played a solid match taking the win 6-1. du LaLiga HPC met Emirates Club in Ras Al Khaimah taking the lead early on with a goal by Ramy Hatem two minutes into the game and a super hat-trick by Ahmed El Yamani in the second half to take the win 8-2. EFF comfortably earned another 3 points in their match against Elite with a 4-1 win.
