Sharjah, UAE, 25th June 2015: In line with its corporate social responsibility, Centro Sharjah hosted an Iftar Gathering for around 100 residents of The Old Peoples Home in Sharjah. The hotel management headed by General Manager, Mr. Michael Kasch and through the support of centre head Mr. Mansour Mohammed Haji organised and executed the Iftar involving traditional Arabic delights brought about through true Arabian hospitality and lots of warmth and compassion! Mr. Michael Kasch expressed” This gesture of hosting the Iftar for our community elders is now a tradition during Ramadan for Centro Sharjah” he added” we are honoured to be given this opportunity to celebrate the ethos of Ramadan” During the Iftar Gathering, management not only serve food to the elders but are actively involved in interacting with them, entertaining them and instilling a sentiment of belonging. Since its incorporation Centro Sharjah has been active with several community service initiatives and rendered support to non-government organizations. This initiative reinstates the fundamental values of respect and integrity for the community in the Hotels vision. Old People House in Sharjah is a Centre under Social Services department of Sharjah Government, established in 1986 supporting and assisting the old people from Sharjah aging 60 and above.
