Abu Dhabi, UAE – 24 June 2015: Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi has welcomed the Holy Month of Ramadan with excitement, as the award-winning waterpark is inviting guests from near and far to celebrate with rewarding special offers, as well as a variety of joyful and thrilling water-themed charity initiatives.

Following its success last year, the UAE’s first mega waterpark’s charity Duck Race is set to return with a splash for a worthy cause. Racers can purchase their rapid rubber duck online or at the park for AED20, with all proceeds going directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, which grants the wishes of children between the ages of 3-18 living with life-threatening medical conditions. Those purchasing a rubber duck will receive 50% off their entry fee on July 27, and witness 10,000 ducks being dropped into the park’s Yadi Yas River in a spectacular race to the finish line, with the fastest duck winning its proud owner Yas Waterworld Annual Pass and a one-night stay on Yas Island.

To take advantage of race-day, as well as the park’s thrilling rides, slides and attractions, UAE residents can beat the heat this summer with a special Ramadan Resident Offer. Offering the ultimate water adventure at a reduced rate, the park’s new Bronze (AED 190) and Silver tickets (AED 290) while the Gold option (AED390) offers unlimited fast-pass access and all tickets give guests a free Yas Waterworld towel. Moreover, AED 5 from each ticket will go towards providing gifts to children spending Eid in Al Rahba Hospital, Abu Dhabi.

Whether with family or friends, water babies have yet another reason to celebrate, as ‘Yalla Friends’, the waterpark’s new online offer, allowing groups of four to enjoy the park for the price of three, also kicks off.

Commenting on the various activities set to take place during the Holy Month, Tim Mow, General Manager at Yas Waterworld, said: “We’re very excited to welcome visitors from the UAE and across the world to experience all that we have on offer throughout the month of Ramadan. Through partnerships with renowned charitable organisations, we would like to invite our guests to join us as we give back to the less fortunate in our community, and wish everyone Ramadan Kareem.”

A donation box for Emirates Red Crescent, the local branch of the international volunteer humanitarian organization, will also be stationed in the park’s souk for those wishing to contribute to another worthy cause. The park will remain fully operational throughout the month from 10am to 6pm. For more information or to purchase a rubber duck, visit http://yaswaterworld.com/
