Mawaed Al Rahman turns into a true community initiative as volunteers from diverse walks of life join hands with du staff

du and Tarahum invite community to join them in packaging and distribution efforts during Ramadan

Dubai, UAE, 20 June 2015: Over 140 volunteers from the UAE community joined hands with du staff in packaging 5000 reusable, environmentally friendly boxes with essential Ramadan food items, to support the collaboration between du and Tarahum for the Mawaed Al Rahman initiative this year. Starting tomorrow, volunteers will distribute the packaged boxes to Emirati families throughout Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

du has invited volunteers to help in the packaging and distribution efforts over the following two weeks from 5pm to 1am at Al Nasr Club, Dubai, to pack the remaining 15000 boxes. “We are bringing residents and citizens from the UAE community together through a volunteering initiative that will add life to life to several families around the UAE.
