Exciting Finish to the First Qualifer of the 2019 Nations Tour

24 March, Dubai, UAE: The first qualifier of 2019 Nations Tour presented by OMEGA concluded on 19th March at the Dubai Hills Golf Club, Dubai, with an exciting finish between the top three qualifying teams.

The two-ball tournament and Net Stableford aggregate score format saw Marco Saviozzi and Frederic Gastaldo from Team France take the first place on a countback in the opening qualifier with a net aggregate of 70 against Team Singapore, Naima Maya and Martha Wong who finished close on 69 points. Christian Klynge and Soren Dam from Team Denmark and Markus Brake with Pascal de Garrigues from Germany were tied and finished third with a net aggregate of 64.

The winning team received a Pro-Am spot in the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic 2020 and season hospitality pass to the OMEGA chalet. The second place took home a pair of hospitality passes to the OMEGA Chalet for the OMEGA Dubai Moonlight Classic along with an exquisite gift, and third place winners took home a pair of hospitality passes to the OMEGA chalet of the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic 2020 and an exquisite gift. The top 10 qualifying teams from each event enters the finals in December.

The players enjoyed a fun golf day out at the course. The next 2 qualifying rounds are open to all adult amateur golfers in the city and will be held at Dubai Hills Golf Club Dubai on 10th April, followed by 6th November and the finals on 10th December. 

The 2019 Omega Nation’s Tour is held in association with UBS.

Participants can sign up as a team with a country of their choice. Special package rates are available for members and non-members of the Dubai Hills Golf Club, which includes green fees, range balls, cart and dinner.
