Ahmad Bin Shafar: The meeting acts as a platform that highlights Dubai’s success in district cooling

Dubai, UAE, 13th June 2019: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, is taking part in the 5th Annual Partners’ Forum, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) for its ‘District Energy in Cities’ initiative. The meeting is being held from 11-14 June 2019 at Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower and Special Advisor on district cooling, will be attending the Forum in addition to a number of experts on district cooling from around the world.

Bin Shafar will take part in various panel discussions about the district cooling industry and its latest technologies, as part of the ‘District Energy in Cities’ initiative to promote the industry and support global initiatives for energy efficiency.

The ‘District Energy in Cities’ initiative aims to spread energy efficiency around the world, research the role of district cooling systems in energy and water efficiency, and introduce higher rates of renewable energy sources into cities.
