Following global expansion, experts from Cleveland Clinic’s UK location, along with UAE and US caregivers, are attending the annual healthcare conference in Dubai

26 January, 2023, DUBAI, UAE: Cleveland Clinic, ranked as the No. 2 hospital in the world by Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2022 list, is a global leader in healthcare with facilities in Canada, United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. At Arab Health 2023, the global health system will have physician leaders and healthcare management experts from the UAE, UK, and USA share their vision of healthcare excellence, focus on patient experience, and advances in treatments. The healthcare conference will be held at Dubai’s World Trade Center from 30 January  to 2 February.

Cleveland Clinic treats thousands of patients from around the world. To facilitate access to care, Cleveland Clinic recently expanded its global health network with the appointment of new in-country representatives to five locations, taking the total number of countries served by in-country representatives to 13. With 24/7 access to global patient services, the in-country representatives can connect patients to Cleveland Clinic care and facilitate a smooth journey for patients.
For more than 100 years, Cleveland Clinic has been at the forefront of medical innovation and specialized health care. To provide more patients with access to a global network of physicians and specialists, Cleveland Clinic London opened in 2022. It is the first Cleveland Clinic hospital in Europe and the second Cleveland Clinic location in London, following the opening of Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre in September 2021. Cleveland Clinic London caregivers treat a wide range of complex conditions, with a focus on heart & vascular, digestive disease, neurosciences and orthopedics.
Abigail Stapleton, Executive Director of International Strategy, who will be attending Arab Health as part of the 19 Cleveland Clinic representatives, says: “Arab Health, as a global forum, is an attractive event to connect with hospitals and healthcare organizations around the world to share knowledge and best practices that elevate the care delivered to patients.”

Another international visitor to Arab Health 2023 is neurologist Nick Losseff MD, FRCP, from Cleveland Clinic London, who provides care to patients in the new state-of-the-art neurorehabilitation unit of the hospital. Dr. Losseff says of the unit, “As is the case across Cleveland Clinic facilities, our experts from multiple disciplines work as a ‘team of teams’ to provide personalized and comprehensive care, which is delivered in an environment designed for the best possible patient experience and outcomes. At our unit in London, we have 40 beds, two dedicated therapy gyms and use the latest specialist rehabilitation techniques, including cutting-edge robotic equipment and advanced exoskeletons, to help support patients’ recovery.”

Will Rowberry, Chief Commercial Officer of Cleveland Clinic London, who will also attend Arab Health 2023, says: “Cleveland Clinic London is the first U.K. hospital to use advanced technology such as pharmacy barcoding and robot-powered medicine administration tracking, offering an additional level of safety in the delivery of medicine. Patients and caregivers have access to the most advanced electronic medical records, allowing caregivers to make faster and more effective decisions about patient care, and giving the patient easier access to information about their treatment.”

Rowberry adds, “We feel privileged to share our collective expertise at Arab Health, along with our colleagues at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and hope to continue to support the UAE’s role as a hub for medical innovation in the region.”
Cleveland Clinic’s global health system currently has 22 hospitals and more than 220 outpatient facilities across the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Cleveland Clinic has a longstanding association with Informa, providing Continuing Medical Education accreditation for the conferences during the annual Arab Health event. This involves developing and implementing specialty content that is unbiased and up to date, and that it adheres to all relevant international professional and ethical standards for education.
