Wilo Participates at the 5th Arab Water Forum in Dubai
September 21, 2021: In support of regional efforts to develop sustainable water solutions for the Arab world, Wilo Middle East has joined government leaders and water sector experts at the 5th Arab Water Forum, which is currently being held from September 21 to 23 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, UAE.
As a strategic partner from the private sector, Wilo is bringing its expertise and unique capabilities in enhancing water management, led by Yasser Nagi, Group Sales Director for MENA and Managing Director for UAE and Egypt.,
Thanks to Wilo’s long term experience in the market, the climate protection company identified water leakage as one of the main concerns in densely populated rural communities in the region.
This is the reason why the team is showcasing Wilo-SiBoost Smart Helix EXCEL, which is a heavy-duty pump system that offers lower power consumption and accurate leakage detection through an optional communication interface.
Commenting on the participation, Yasser Nagi said: “Wilo is known for championing sustainability, which is an important aspect that governments and organizations have included in various initiatives within the MENA Region. We are proud to be participating at the Arab Water Forum and contribute to the sharing of sustainability best practices. The event has provided ample opportunities for us to meet like-minded industry leaders to discuss partnerships and present eco-friendly solutions to clients from different sectors.”
Forum participants have engaged in timely topics including Water, Energy, and Food Security Nexus, Climate Change Impact on Arab Water Security, Effective Water Governance Towards Achieving Peace and Stability, and more.
Monica Giazzi, GVP Government & Public Affairs, said: “Knowing that our advanced technology and product offerings are system relevant to vital infrastructure we will keep supporting governments and corporate entities in achieving their sustainability objectives in critical aspects such as energy, water, and other resources. Guided by the Climate Facility Project of the United Nations Development Program, we believe that with effective communication and strategic collaboration, our environment-friendly initiatives will succeed in mitigating the effects of climate change.”
Due to multiple factors including climate change and population growth, water resources management is a significant area of concern within the Arab region. On the other hand, leaders are optimistic that water levels and distribution will continue improving in the near future through various national and regional efforts including the Arab Water Forum.
