Hosted by Al-Futtaim’s Dubai Festival City Mall, visitors will be able to enjoy unforgettable festive celebrations and experience festive cheer in a safe and controlled environment

Opens doors to visitors from the 6th to 29th December with daily tree-lighting and snowfall

Dubai, UAE, 06 December 2020:  Looking to visit a destination to give you the Christmas joy and smiles? Everyone needs a season to remember and Dubai Festival City Mall’s Festive Experience is the place to be for the biggest and most magical free festive experience with all that you can imagine wrapped in one location.

For the third year in a row with a setup spread across Festival Bay, the Festive Experience will be themed around this magical season and provide visitors with an unforgettable festive experience. The Festive Experience will enchant guests from the 6th December to 29th December, 4pm to 10 pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 4pm to 11pm from Thursday to Saturday with mostly free highlights including a festive maze, enchanted polar bear valley, sing-a-longs, live performances, Gingerbread House workshops and of course no festive experience is complete without a Santa’s Grotto.

The fun starts as soon as you enter – ignite your imagination as you walk through the specially created tunnel of imagination. The enchanted Polar Bear Valley takes you on a magical walk through beautiful ever green fir trees, snow drifts, polar bears and reindeers to get to the Festive Market which features a huge tree, visible from the Business Bay Bridge as well as a Santa’s Grotto with meet and greet available with the big man himself. The meet-and-greets will take place every day from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and 4pm to 11pm on weekends. Photo souvenirs will be available for an affordable starting price of AED 50 per picture. The festive grotto has been adapted this year and children will see and speak to Santa with a COVID-compliant screen.

Dubai Festival City Mall’s festive experience is the perfect destination for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy the special lighting of the tree performance every evening at 6pm with snowfall and hourly sing-along performances to give them the ultimate Festive experience. Carnival rides for all ages along with The Magical Wishing Maze, Light Tunnels, Polar Bear Walk, Festive Singalong and Stage Shows, Festive Juggles and Mime’s will surely satisfy your holiday desires. For those with a sweet tooth and food cravings, the Festive Experience will have a selection of retail and F&B kiosks to choose from. As well as workshops for kids to keep them busy.

New for this year, the Festive Maze takes you on a journey through a festive wonderland under a canopy of twinkling lights. Will you be able to find your way through the colourful festive walkways? Visitors are greeted by Frosty who takes you through the valley of the shooting stars, you will then journey through the clouds on your way to the wishing tree. On route there is an opportunity to stop and have a selfie at Festive House before you arrive at the Wishing Tree. The Wishing tree is as old as Winter itself; you can take a selfie with the trees smiling face as you leave your wish with the Keeper of the Tree before exiting the maze via a fun wall of mirrors then through to the giant star photo opportunity.

Join Jack on his climb up the beanstalk to an enchanted land of excitement and adventure at the Jack and The Beanstalk themed Friday Brunch on the 11th December at the Picnic Party in InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City. Packed with everyone’s favourite childhood characters, this enchanting and spellbinding tale combines spectacular scenery, jokes galore, magic and sparkle - all of which makes this story a family favourite. Bought to you by h2’s shows, visitors will be required to pre-book for the Friday Brunch show. Ticket prices start from AED 125 onwards.

Speaking ahead of this year’s celebrations, Steven Cleaver, Director, Shopping Centers Dubai, Al-Futtaim Malls said: ‘’As a destination that stands for celebration, we are delighted to bring back the Festive Market to our visitors for the third year in a row, something that has become a stalwart of the Dubai Festive Season. This year our customers have told us they want to feel the spirit of the season throughout the month; therefore, we have designed our Festive Experience, so our visitors have even more reasons to visit during December.  We are committed to delivering daily exceptional experiences and will end the year on a high with the most festive experience in Dubai.’’
