• New tele-consultation service allows patients to remotely access medical advice for general ailments from home or office
• People seeking information on COVID-19 can also reach a medical professional through the Aster call center – 04-4400500

Dubai, UAE, 30 March 2020:   Aster DM Healthcare has introduced a free tele-consultation service across its Medcare, Aster Hospital and Aster Clinic facilities in the UAE, allowing patients to remotely consult qualified doctors for all general ailments. The leading private healthcare group is one of the first to offer such a service to patients in the UAE, supporting the community to access quality healthcare advice during this challenging time.

Through visiting the respective facilities’ websites, patients can book an appointment with a general practitioner and then ‘visit’ the doctor remotely via a video call. Appointments with pediatricians are also available through the Aster Hospital platform. The doctors will advise patients should they require an in-person consultation for further testing or for the issuance of a prescription. Home delivery service for medicines and pharmacy products would be available across UAE. Customers can call 800700600 to speak to a pharmacist or order medicines and they can also send their prescription via Whatsapp to 800700600.

People seeking information on COVID-19 can also reach a medical professional through the Aster call center where specific queries about the virus will be addressed.

“The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic calls for measures to make healthcare services accessible to everyone in the community. Home Quarantine, Social Distancing and Stay-at-Home announced by authorities are crucial measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. In the circumstances where people are unable to move out of their homes and offices, we wanted to ensure that our patients continue to receive the best possible care.

The launch of Aster Tele Consultation will hopefully provide everyone  the access to their doctors remotely along with supply of  medicines at their door steps, by  Aster Pharmacy in Dubai. We sincerely hope that this will help people in accessing the much needed essential out-patient healthcare service. Any patient requiring treatment shall be referred to the few clinics which remain open as well as to the Aster hospitals, if warranted,” commented Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare.
