Pure Health introduces Aptio 2 robotic automation system in the region

With the advanced diagnostic system, Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital becomes the central reference location point for all labs in Ras Al Khaimah. 

Dubai, UAE, May 29, 2018: PureHealth, leading healthcare technology solutions provider in the UAE, has announced introduction of one of the world’s most advanced diagnostic systems in the region. Pure Health installed Siemens Aptio 2 Robotic Automation System in the state-of-the-art laboratory of Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. 

The Hospital, operated by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), is located in Al Oraibi area, Ras Al Khaimah. 

With the installation of the new diagnostic system, Obaidullah Hospital will now become the central reference location point for all laboratories in Ras Al Khaimah. Pure Health added the facility to the UAE’s largest laboratory network under its operation.

The management has been very supportive to bring the new technology to the hospital that would benefit their patients.”

“The new Aptio Robotic Automation enables the lab to improve utilization of its resources, increase efficiency, accelerate processing, and achieve consistent and faster turnaround times. This would result in quicker and accurate patient results that physicians can make clinical decision with,” he added. 

“In 2017, Pure Health has been awarded the operations of the labs under the UAE health ministry. This includes 82 plus labs across all the emirates. This move is initiated to improve the efficiency levels of the labs. Such a network will provide for the latest in lab technology solutions,” Mr. Luke said. 

Pure Health is now driving the UAE health ministry’s digitalization programme to develop a unified medical and health record system for the country. This will enhance the health and wellbeing of the UAE population and reduce the cost of healthcare delivery in line with the UAE Vision 2021. The laboratories will play a key role in population health management through conducting screening programs to prevent healthcare risks, for the citizens and residents of the UAE.
