Leading beauty and wellness trade showcase poised to set new participation and attendance records

Dubai, UAE, April 29, 2017:  Indian superstar actress and leading fashion and lifestyle icon Kareena Kapoor, will be at Beautyworld Middle East 2017, for the Middle East launch of a line of beauty products.

This will be the first time that Kapoor, one of Bollywood's best known and highest-paid stars, will visit the show and her presence underlines the vast international scope and reach of the leading trade showcase for the beauty and wellness industries.

Born to a family that has been part of the Bollywood story since its inception, Kapoor made her debut in 2000 and since then has built up a reputation as one of the Hindi movie industry's most talented and accomplished actresses, with a vast repertoire of roles. Aside from her film career, Kapoor has also been one of the most widely followed A-list celebrities in Mumbai's glamour set and has a multitude of followers on social media who appreciate her frank and forthright style.

Beautyworld Middle East 2017, the leading international trade fair for the beauty industry serving the wider region, will run at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 14 to 16 and is expected to be considerably larger and more representative than the previous edition.

Surging spending on beauty and personal care in the region is spurring huge interest in the Middle East from a majority of the top beauty and wellness brands, who are flocking to the region to establish a credible presence here.

According to analysts Euromonitor International, the Beauty and Personal Care market in the GCC is set to reach a total value of US$ 13.662 billion in 2020, up from $ 8.5 billion in 2015. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are set to provide the maximum momentum in this growth surge, with the Saudi Arabian market for Beauty and Personal Care estimated to reach $ 9.54 billion in 2020 and demand in the UAE set to reach $ 2.72 billion, in the same period.

As the leading international trade platform and preferred business development and network event for beauty, hair, fragrances and wellbeing, Beautyworld Middle East will feature: Cosmetics & Skincare; Personal Care and Hygiene; Fragrance Compounds and Finished Fragrance; Hair, Nails, and Salon Supplies; Machinery, Packaging, and Raw Materials; Professional Equipment, Spa and Wellness.
