Press Conference announces the opening of Al Wukair Shopping Centre on October 2015

- Ezdan Shopping Malls’ management signs its first lease agreement with Grand Hypermarket for a new 4,700 sqm Hypermarket-

At a press conference held at Ezdan Mall Al Gharaffa, the General Manager of Ezdan Shopping Malls, Mr. Malik Qaiser announced that the opening date of Al Wukair Shopping Centre will be October 2015.

During the press conference, a signing ceremony took place for the first lease agreement for Al Wukair Shopping Centre to open a 4,700 sqm Hypermarket. Deputy CEO of Ezdan Holding Group Mr. Nasser Al Abdulla, along with Ezdan Shopping Malls General Manager Mr. Qaiser signed the agreement with Mr. Abu Baker from Grand Hypermarket. 

Commenting on the event, Mr. Al Abdulla said: “The opening of Al Wukair Shopping Centre, which comes after the opening of Ezdan Mall Al Gharaffa, in addition to the upcoming Al Wakara Mall, supports Ezdan Holding Group’s vision to create a modern Ezdan City. We are proud and excited to hand over Al Wukair Shopping Centre to Ezdan Shopping Malls Company in order to manage the mall and promote its brand mix strategy in line with the company’s outstanding expertise in the field”.

For his part, Mr. Qaiser said: “We have proudly established Ezdan Mall Al Gharaffa with a unique brand mix and shopping experience, and it is high time for us to start the preparations of Al Wukair Shopping Centre brands assortment to create a unique shopping experience serving a different area. Spread over 30,000 sqm, we, God willing, will be able to create a exclusive experience, putting into considerations the needs of people in the surrounding areas, and this is why we have been keen to provide a wide range of services, including Financial services and governmental services that are considered essentials for the area.

“The mall consists of 11 Buildings, comprising a Hypermarket, Clinic Medical Center, Food Court, Kids Entertainment Area, multiple Retail Buildings, Government Offices, etc.  The facility is divided into two-floor spaces and open for lease. Ezdan Shopping Malls Management started receiving applications to shortlist brands to finalize its brand mix of Al Wukair Shopping Centre. The mall will serve the southern area including AL Wukair, Al Wakara, Barwa and Mesaieed”, Mr. Qaiser added.

The second outlet of Regency Group Dubai

Addressing a press conference held at Ezdaan Mall Wukair, Shamsudheen Bin Mohideen Mammu Haji, The Chairman of Regency Group Dubai and promoter of Grand Mall explained that the Ezdaan Mall Project will be the 2nd outlet of Regency Group in Qatar and 39th outlet in its group. The Group currently operates in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, China and India

The hypermarket area will consist of a world class Supermarket in the ground floor and a Department Store on the first floor. The exclusive bakery and hot food section of the Hypermarket will be a major attraction with its mouth-watering flavors and products. All types of Bread, Arabic and Lebanese items will be produced live at the store for its customers.
