Dubai Municipality designates four public beaches for families during Eid Al Fitr
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 28 March 2025: Dubai Municipality has announced that four of its public beaches – Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1 and Umm Suqeim 2 – will be designated for families only during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
This initiative forms part of Dubai Municipality’s commitment to offering residents and visitors an attractive city equipped with integrated recreational and tourism facilities. By providing dedicated family-friendly beach areas, the municipality aims to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for all community members, encouraging families to enjoy the emirate’s world-class public beaches during one of the most anticipated holidays of the year.
Dubai Municipality noted that designating certain public beaches for families during the Eid period will help regulate visitor numbers, especially as beaches tend to experience significant crowds during public holidays and festive occasions. This measure seeks to ensure that families can enjoy the beach environment in comfort and safety.
To ensure a secure and enjoyable experience, the Municipality has deployed a fully equipped safety and rescue team comprising 126 qualified personnel. These individuals are supported by state-of-the-art equipment and logistical resources that enhance rescue operations and uphold the highest standards of safety for beachgoers. In addition, a dedicated field supervisory team of ten trained professionals will manage crowd control, oversee traffic at beach car parks, and monitor the overall security and operations across the designated sites.
Dubai Municipality is also coordinating closely with its strategic partners to supervise all beach operations and ensure seamless service delivery during the holiday period. This collaborative effort is aimed at maintaining the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all families visiting the beaches.
The Municipality continues to oversee the development and management of public beaches and water canals throughout the emirate, ensuring modern infrastructure and services that offer a first-rate recreational experience for residents and tourists alike.
