Participation to promote the Library's services prior to its inauguration

Dubai, UAE 20, May 2022:  The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, one of the most ambitious cultural and knowledge-development initiatives in the Arab world, has confirmed its participation in the 31st Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 23-29 May 2022.
This participation aims to raise awareness about the library’s mandate, its facilities and services. It also highlights MBRL’s upcoming leading role in shaping the future of the UAE's cultural landscape through providing access to a pool of literal, scientific and intellectual resources catered to attract researchers, authors and thinkers from all over the region and beyond .

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library's stand at ADIBF will have an unprecedented display of its facilities, services, and cutting-edge technologies. The library will also provide devices for visitors to pre-register for library membership .

'ADIBF is a leading regional and global annual platform which welcomes key players from the publishing industry in the Middle East and North Africa,' said His Excellency Mohammad Ahmad Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation. 'The event provides us with an ideal platform to highlight our services, vision, and ambitions to develop innovative solutions that can ensure the positive and constructive impact of public libraries on cultural movement in the UAE and across the region.'

'The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is a milestone towards the sustainable and forward-looking goals of knowledge advancement set out by our wise leadership, as we play a key role in supporting and following the National Literacy Strategy 2026, acting as a pivotal and inspiring platform to spark the passion for knowledge among the youth. We also aim to encourage future generations to learn and expand their horizons, ultimately establishing Dubai as an international cultural hub,' added Al Murr.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library covers over 500,000 sq. ft., including ground and floor space. It is one of the most remarkable buildings in the Middle East, with an architectural concept inspired by the ‘The Rehl’- the traditional x-shaped lectern used across the Islamic world. The library building has seven floors, a ground floor, and a basement. Its visitors will enjoy a calm and motivating environment.
This is one of the most technologically-advanced libraries in the world, using artificial intelligence technologies (AI), augmented reality (AR), holograms, radio-frequency identification (RFID) and smart robots.
